Got a Hall of Fame Nomination for 2025?

We are seeking the special person(s) that belong in the Michigan Racquetball Hall of Fame. The Michigan Racquetball Hall of Fame was founded in 1984 by the Racquetball Association of Michigan (RAM). Its purpose is to honor those recipients who have demonstrated outstanding achievement, leadership or contribution to the sport of racquetball in the State of Michigan. The award is based upon years of consistence excellence in one or more of the following areas:

ABILITY: The nominated candidate(s) should have demonstrated exceptional playing ability and skill over a period of 10 years. In addition, a minimum of 5 years of documented play in the State of Michigan is required. Regional play, National tournament competition and other State tournament accomplishment will be included. Outdoor racquetball and Doubles teams are equally a part of the RAM Hall of Fame.

 

LEADERSHIP: Through generous giving of time and talent for the advancement of racquetball in the State of Michigan by running tournaments, conducting leagues, lessons, serving on the State Racquetball Association and/or other racquetball activities.

 

CONTRIBUTIONS: Through generous support, including money, facilities, products, etc. for the advancement of racquetball in the State of Michigan.

  • The Hall of Fame recognizes all forms of racquetball play including Doubles Teams and Outdoor racquetball.
  • Qualification for the Hall of Fame is considered based on skill, ability, and performance for over a period of 10 years.
  • Doubles Teams need to have played together over a period of years, consistently demonstrating a high level of performance and achievement.
  • All nominees must be at least 35 years old, have a minimum of 10 years of documented racquetball participation as a player, leader, and/or contributor, of which 5 years must have been in Michigan.

Finally, if you have any thoughts for improvement concerning the HOF, please contact Tom Blakeslee, any member of the Hall of Fame committee, or a member of the RAM board.

Nominee(s), recognized for ability, indoor, outdoor or doubles, leader, contributor, must be submitted by December 1, 2025 Nominee(s) will be recognized for induction into the Hall of Fame estimated to be on Saturday, March 25th during State Singles Championship weekend at the Davison Athletic Club. Founded in 1978, Racquetball Association of Michigan (RAM) is a non-profit corporation organized for educational purposes designed to foster the development of the sport of racquetball in the state of Michigan. RAM is the State Governing Body for racquetball in Michigan, providing opportunities to participate and contribute to the growth of racquetball. RAM is sanctioned by the United States Racquetball Association under the umbrella of the United States Olympic Committee.
